Verto Partner Scoops Prestigious Project Management Office Accolade
In a significant stride towards redefining project management within the UK public sector, UK Research and Innovation’s (UKRI) Project Delivery & Improvement (PD&I) team has emerged as a beacon of success to take home PMO of the Year 2023, as awarded by the Association of Project Management (APM). As specialists in delivering bespoke project management solutions, Verto has assisted UKRI in creating a joined-up framework for their project delivery processes.
Commencing this transformative journey in 2019, UKRI set out with a visionary agenda – to standardise project delivery processes, break down silos within their organisation, and establish common practices to foster seamless collaboration among diverse teams, spanning the seven disciplinary research councils, Research England, and Innovate UK. Verto, as the chosen project management software, has been one of the catalysts for realising these ambitions, offering clearer workflows and user-friendly frameworks.
The collaboration with Verto is an example of how UKRI were able to establish effective reporting mechanisms to meet their pivotal business objectives and achieve the prestigious award in November 2023 – an accolade that reflects the remarkable success and innovation achieved through this dynamic partnership.
Dr Nicola Canale, Head of UKRI Project Delivery Profession, said:
“We are delighted that the recent APM win has highlighted our contributions towards transforming project delivery across UKRI. Our focus on upskilling our project profession and enhancing capability across the organisation, as well as introducing new tools and processes, has been a key driving factor behind this success.”
As we continue the future trajectory of this ground-breaking partnership, we want to offer our heartfelt congratulations to the Project Delivery & Improvement PMO at UKRI.
