Job Brief

We are looking for a high-performing Account Executive to come in and drive outbound sales at Verto. They will take a hands-on approach to building pipeline and contributing to the company topline by closing sales at Verto, driving the business forward.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Build and manage your territory/sector plan to hit targets. This will include in part prospecting, generating your own leads and driving outbound activity.
  • Work closely with Marketing and the wider business to drive TOFL activity.
  • Identifying and engaging with senior business leaders across events, phone, email, LinkedIn etc. – meet prospects/buyers where they are. You need to be comfortable selling into the various key stakeholders in public sector clients. Must be comfortable multi-threading deals.
  • Consultative account-based sales – understanding the pain-points of clients through quality discovery and managing multiple stakeholders within each account.
  • Creating proposals, negotiating contracts, and managing procurement processes.
  • Supporting in solving business needs and creating scalable processes within team.

Skills & Experience

The successful candidate will ideally possess:

  • Successful personal sales track record (ideally 3-5+ years), selling products that are challenger products/not “market-leading” and require a consultative, educational approach.
  • Experience of selling PPM or 3PM solutions is a huge plus.
  • Sales experience in a scale-up business, in particular, scaling and managing all aspects of a small but growing sales function.
  • Experience creating, defining and operationalising go-to-market strategies and managing enterprise-level sales cycles (AOVs £20-50k).
  • A ‘growth hacker’ mindset and ability to set a test-learn-refine culture.
  • Strong communicator who is able to collaborate effectively with the wider Verto business to drive results.
  • Ideally some exposure to public sector clients (central government, local government, NHS trusts et al).
  • Knowledge of Hubspot CRM.
  • Curious, thoughtful and inquisitive.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proactive, with the ability to work autonomously.

 Additionally

  • Candidates must have a car and a full UK driving licence
  • Some UK travel will be required
  • Job Type: Full-time, Mon-Fri – 9am-5:30pm
