Verto 365 is approved for 1.4 million NHSmail users

Bring more of your work into Microsoft Teams with Verto 365

The background

It’s been well documented how beneficial Microsoft Teams has been for the NHS. In 2021 NHS Digital successfully completed the migration of 2.1m NHSmail mailboxes over to Microsoft’s Exchange Online platform. Microsoft Teams was then rolled out to further improve collaboration across the service.  Following its dramatic uptake, a new range of Microsoft Teams power apps, that help to achieve even more from Teams, began to emerge and we saw the opportunity for greater empowerment and productivity for those using Verto through the integration.

Our Verto 365 app sits within MS Teams which makes work collaboration and project management even easier. The NHS Technical Design Authority (TDA) has approved Verto 365 for all NHSmail users, where we join only a handful of other applications. The app allows you to track and manage projects or work activity of any kind directly from within MS Teams, meaning there is no need to jump to other systems as it can all be done within MS Teams.

Why it works

Organisations across many business sectors, have adopted MS Teams to collaborate, unite colleagues and share data and information. Verto 365 sets out to connect even more than just the strands of communication required from office-based, hybrid or remote-working teams. Tracking and reporting using powerful tools not seen before within MS Teams is raising the game of the already popular solution.

Within MS Teams, you are now able to access:

  1. Flexible dashboards which provide live, interactive views of data from Verto and SharePoint, displayed using a huge range of selectable widgets.
  2. Enhanced Kanban boards to quickly and easily organise your work, keep on top of actions, and visualise the progress across your work processes.  You can add as many boards as you like alongside projects or workspaces.
  3. Interactive Gantt charts so you can map the progress you’d like to see, share instantly with colleagues and click into tasks and milestones for the detail.

Testing the waters

We’ve created the Verto Playground, a trial area you can access to test and learn the new Verto 365 app first-hand without using your own data to do so. The name ‘Playground’ has been carefully selected to highlight that no live or real data is present within this area. Feel free to add, remove and change anything you see, as every 24 hours, the Playground will be restored to its original state, ready for you to play again. It provides guides and sample project data for you to browse through and change as you wish so you can get to grips with what’s possible within Verto 365.

What's next?

Verto are user-led in their approach to continuous improvement and are excited to work with their existing clients, already making use of Verto 365, for the next phases of development. As a small and agile company, Verto are one of the first organisations to exploit the new opportunities that Microsoft’s deep integration capabilities now offer. By simply asking, “why not?”, they have re-imagined MS Teams into a fully functioning project, programme and work management platform to bring ease and simplicity to organisations’, often complex, working practices.
