Why Listening to Our Clients Drives Every Verto Release

As Head of Client Support Services here at Verto, I work closely with our clients every day.

One of the most rewarding aspects of my role is seeing feedback, suggestions, and frontline insights from clients delivering programmes of work across large government organisations translated into meaningful enhancements within Verto.

Every release we deliver is the result of conversations with the organisations we support, combined with a deep understanding of the evolving challenges facing public sector teams and the wider industries we serve.

Our latest release, available from 27 July, is a great example of that approach in action. We’ve not been living under a rock, so needed a simple method for Microsoft Planner data to import into Verto. Many of our clients have shifted over from the Microsoft platform and we are anticipating more organisations to follow suit after Project online retires at the end of September.

We’ve also enhanced our resource management, accessibility improvements and Gantt planning enhancements. Many of these developments have been shaped directly by what our clients have told us they need to work more effectively. The features are all designed to reduce manual effort and help teams focus on delivering outcomes rather than managing processes, which in today’s fast-paced world is exactly what is needed.

But successful innovation isn't just about building new functionality. It's about understanding how the world around our clients is changing and ensuring Verto continues to evolve alongside it. We hear when there is increased demand for joined-up planning tools or the need for greater visibility of resource capacity. We also listen when improvements to accessibility are required for greater user experience. We are continually listening, learning and adapting and by combining client feedback with industry insight, we can continue to develop solutions that solve real-world problems and create lasting value.

Our goal is to ensure that Verto remains not only relevant today, but ready to support the future needs of the organisations we partner with.

What makes this possible is the culture across the entire Verto business. While our development team plays a vital role in bringing new ideas to life, every release is the product of collaboration between client support, product, consultancy, customer success, sales, marketing and operations. We are a growing team of specialists who genuinely care about helping our clients succeed by providing platform expertise, implementation guidance, support, training and strategic advice whenever possible. There is a shared commitment across the business to delivering the best possible experience for every organisation we work with.

The July release is another important step on that journey. We're proud of what has been delivered, grateful to the clients whose feedback helped shape it, and excited about what comes next as we continue to innovate together.
